KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Customer Service
- Processes work orders, chemical orders, supply orders, etc., as needed.
- Ensures Autobell is taken care of by focusing on organization, service, and follow-up.
- Evaluates Autobell Car Wash sites to assist the company in anticipating equipment failures, supply sufficiency, etc.
- Plans and follows through with assigned projects and tasks supporting the company.
- Supports Autobell Car Wash operations by providing timely information and service.
- Technical Service
- Assists in the installation of new car wash equipment.
- Installs equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Performs corrective maintenance of installed equipment.
- Physically handling, installing, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and/or materials.
- Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, and screws.
- Troubleshoots car wash equipment and related components; Identifies parts for replacement or replacement of components.
- Purchases items or places orders for items needed to complete maintenance or repair work, as authorized.
- Continuously develops and expands knowledge of chemicals, parts, materials, supplies, service, components, and equipment.
- Focuses on quality service. Minimizes errors and re-work by focusing on details, checking results, and ensuring accuracy.
- Shipping and Receiving
- Participates in ordering materials and supplies, as needed.
- Oversees the shipping and distribution processes, utilizing the most cost-effective shipping methods.
- Personally, delivers items to work-sites, as needed.
- Takes initiative to ensure timeliness for Autobell Car Wash is considered when placing and coordinating orders.
- Maintains inventory of materials needed to perform anticipated tasks. Appropriately uses and manages company resources.
- Communication/Working Relationships
- Establishes effective documentation, communication, and reporting processes to ensure Service Manager is kept informed of positive and negative factors impacting the assigned territory and the business.
- Participates in periodic team meetings.
- Represents the company in a professional manner and appearance.
- Travels as necessary to support the overall goals of the organization.
- Other
- Performs other duties as required or requested.
- Contributes to the positive team efforts of the territory and the company.
- Maintain detailed service records.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive company, and data without exception.
- Acts upon critical issues immediately within position’s authority and/or asks for assistance/decision-making from the Service Manager.
- Suggests ways to do assigned tasks in a more efficient and effective manner.
- Follows safety and security guidelines and sets a safe work example for others.
- Maintains the worksite by leaving it clean, neat, and organized.
- Light construction that would include odd jobs at car wash locations during installations and repairs.
- Acts as on-call technician for Autobell emergency situations according to the team schedule.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge/Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Technical school education preferred, but not required.
- General mechanical ability necessary.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, & maintenance.
- Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and pumps, helpful.
- Experience in car wash operations and related customer service, preferred.
- Experience, knowledge, and demonstrated effectiveness in car wash equipment maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with the car wash industry’s standards, concepts, practices, and procedures.

- Ability to identify, troubleshoot and repair electrical, chemical, mechanical and and/or plumbing issues.
- Ability to use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks and goals.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Environment – Car wash sites and daily travel.
- Scheduling – Must be able to work outside of normal business hours i.e. after Autobell closes or overnight.
- Willingness to work out of town as needed on car wash installs and/or repairs with up to 25% travel outside of Charlotte geographical territory, required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle history.
- Autobell requires that you keep a professional, safe, and neat appearance according to company policy.
