Since my vehicle is not garaged I tend to purchase frequent "basic" Exterior Car Washes ($7.99) instead of the more expensive interior/exterior washes (I usually clean my own interior). Autobell's basic $7.99 Exterior Wash has always served me well enough for what it is that I'll drive over 20-miles roundtrip to use it. The Exterior Wash is a solid 4 of 5 stars. Yesterday I sprung for the $29.99 "Manager's Special" - inside and outside cleaning. Frankly, the exterior came out about as well as the basic $7.99 Exterior Wash. My vehicles are usually VERY clean inside. About the only thing that needed cleaning today was some dog hair from transporting two dogs for the local Humane Society. Other than clean interior windows & clean sidewalls on my tires, I noticed no other significant difference pre to post cleaning. When I got home, I wiped the interior, vacuumed the seats & sprayed my own air freshener (I think they forgot to spray it at Autobell). I'm not surprised re: the insufficient vacuuming given the procedure: the young man was frantically vacuuming, racing to & from all four doors, while the vehicle was literally starting on the conveyor belt to enter the wash (a super quick pass-through of the vacuum wand). The end result of the "Manager's Special": I'd rate this no better than 2 of 5 stars (generous considering my $29.99 cleaning was hardly better than the $7.99 cleaning). In summary: lesson learned. I'll stick with the $7.99 Exterior Wash and bypass every combination of the Interior/Exterior combo cleanings since I'll be re-doing the interior after I get home. With an Exterior Wash, you shouldn't be disappointed.
